Independent Study

Independent Study is a short-term learning plan for students who need to miss school for 1 or more days. This easy to set up plan ensures your child keeps learning and counts toward attendance (no absences).

To set up the Independent Study Agreement:

  1. Contact your child's teacher or the front office if your child will be out for 1 or more days.
  2. Sign the Independent Study Agreement
  3. Complete all work while they are away.
  4. Turn in assignments upon your return.

Independent Study is a voluntary plan that can only be used for 14 days total per school year. Work must be finished on time. Students with an IEP need team approval for participation and must be 10 days or less per school year.
