Principal's Corner

Dear Allen Eagle Families,

Welcome back to Allen Elementary School, Home of the Eagles! We hope your summer was filled with rest, joy, and meaningful time with loved ones. As we prepare to begin the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to welcome our students and families back to campus on Wednesday, July 22nd for another year of learning, growth, and success together.

At Allen Elementary, we continue to believe deeply in the potential of every child. Our commitment to academic excellence, strong relationships, and a safe, nurturing school environment remains at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to share that Allen Elementary has once again been recognized on the California School Honor Roll for educational excellence. This prestigious recognition from the California State Senate and Legislature reflects the incredible dedication of our students, staff, families, and community working together as one Eagle Family.

We are also excited to continue offering enriching opportunities for our students through our outstanding LEAD After-School Program. LEAD provides students with additional academic support, enrichment activities, clubs, and meaningful experiences that help foster creativity, leadership, and confidence beyond the school day.

Prior to the start of the school year, families will receive an invitation to attend our Meet and Greet event. This special opportunity will allow students and families to meet their child’s teacher, locate classrooms, and become familiar with student line-up areas and first day procedures to help ensure a smooth and positive transition into the new school year.

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, Allen Elementary will continue implementing our Safe Campus procedures to help maintain a secure learning environment for all students and staff. Families will continue receiving the weekly flyer to pre-register through our Raptor Visitor Management System so parents may enjoy breakfast with their child on campus. We kindly remind families that parent departure time each morning is 8:45 a.m. as instruction begins promptly and staff transition into instructional supervision responsibilities. We appreciate your partnership as we continue prioritizing the safety, security, and well-being of all our Little Eagles and staff.

Please note that the Allen Blog officially closed at the end of the 2025–2026 school year. Families can now find important school updates, announcements, and information through our Allen News webpage found at https://allen.cvesd.org/allen-news and our ClassDojo page.

As we begin this new school year, we look forward to continuing our partnership with families. Family involvement plays a vital role in student achievement, and we encourage all parents and guardians to become active members of our school community by:

  • Volunteering at school events and activities
  • Joining our School Site Council (SSC) to support school improvement efforts and student achievement
  • Participating in our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) to support multilingual learners and family engagement
  • Becoming involved in our Parent Teacher Club (PTC) to help organize events, strengthen school spirit, and support student opportunities

At Allen Elementary, we are committed to fostering a culture where students feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired. Together, we will continue building a school community grounded in kindness, respect, innovation, and high expectations for all.

I am truly honored to serve this incredible community and excited to continue working alongside our dedicated staff and supportive families to ensure every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
